MADONNA IS NOT A CHAMPION FOR OR OF THE FEMALE GENDERTo make things very clear up front: I am a woman. I am a female. I do not regard Madonna as being a role model (at least not a positive or worthy one), for anyone, including females. Madonna herself, her life experiences, or her accomplishments, mistakes or pratfalls, do not speak for me as a woman, as a human being. Nor do they define me, and they do not speak to me. She is not my idol or heroine. She does not represent me. I do not identify with Madonna. I have different moral groundings than she does. I do not believe that it is okay to have children out of wedlock, I do not think that fornication is acceptable, or that it is appropriate to try to make a career out of intentionally offending people (if anything, trying to get a rise out of people in that manner is immature and says more about Madonna's lack of character and shallowness than it may about those whom she is attempting to offend). I believe that homosexuality, lesbianism, bi-sexuality, and pornography are all immoral; she does not (see my response to question #6 on the FAQs page before sending me hate e-mail describing me as being "homophobic" and the like).
I do not see anything artistic, thought- provoking, or funny about her raunchy Sex book. It makes no difference to me if Madonna states in the introduction to the Sex book that everything in the book is merely fantasy. I say this is irrelevant because the end result is this: she is contributing to the downfall of morality. We do not need any more pornography, whether it is "real" or "staged." If Madonna is trying to "anger" or "shock" conservatives such as myself, she largely fails. I do not deny that some conservatives have been outraged by some of Madonna's kinky sexual pratfalls, but most of us, including me, either view it as being stupid or as immature. Most of her attempts at shock are so obviously calculated to be offensive that it fails. In this day and age, one expects Madonna to do or say something that goes against convention. I was an art major in college (I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Fine Arts with a specialty in graphic design), so please, spare me any e-mails telling me I am a judgmental, hateful prude or am not hip to artistic vision. I had to study paintings of naked people in art history courses, and I had to draw pictures from live, nude models in class. I reject much of what Madonna stands for, both in her personal and professional life, as well as the message contained in most of her products (e.g., songs and films). Her message is largely that one must use one's body, to be beautiful, or to have sex with a man, to be successful. According to Madonna, as evidenced in her concert performances and music videos, one must dance about in sexy outfits consisting of garter belts, high heels, and bustiers to be powerful or command respect. (In reality, though, she acts like a total hoochie to keep the controversy machine pitched in high gear since it is equal to dollar signs, as she is not truly interested in 'art' or in making profound points.) Madonna says to "Respect Yourself" in her "Express Yourself" music video, but meanwhile, she prances about in that same video as a tart; she crawls along on the floor in a skimpy outfit. She is shown naked, chained to a bed.
Of course your Madonna apologists will say (and even Madonna herself has said in response to criticism in an interview shortly after the video aired) , "But in the video, Madonna chose to crawl on the floor and be chained up in a bed! No man forced her to do any of that!" Even if it was Madonna's intent to preach some sort of 'female empowerment' message in the Express Yourself video, the whole monstrosity still comes across as "Madonna is acting like a tramp and showing off her body, and that just to make some money off this album." A female who is trying to make a pro-female point should not and would not be prancing about in her undies, because it does, whether intended or not, send a conflicting message. I also doubt that many of the lusty 12 year old boys who watched the Express Yourself video, or even the grown men in their 20s or 30s who saw it, either noticed or cared about any alleged underlying feminist themes in that video, as they were too busy checking out Madonna's boobs and ass. Furthermore, Madonna celebrates violence against women in her Sex book: she is shown, a number of times, being raped by men or women (see photo below right and photos on the "Like a Trollop" page).
Therefore, I find it very insulting, infuriating, and reprehensible when some feminist writers, or the "girl power" Madonna fans on the web, make Madonna out to be the Spokes- Woman for the entire female gender. I find it insulting and reprehensible that such feminist pundits and Madonna fans offer Madonna up as a wonderful example of a liberated, powerful, 'in charge of her own life and sexuality' female that I should emulate or take pride in. Madonna is a cheap, untalented, trashy, (and yes, despite her insincere American Life album objections to the contrary), self-centered, egotistical, money-grubbing slut who happened to make an awful lot of money by being a cheap, trashy, slut. I am a contemporary woman who sees Madonna exactly for what she is, so do not feed me any of that secular feminist tripe about what a great example Madonna is for women everywhere.
I do not need to wear pointy, conical shaped bras, appear in porn, simulate oral sex on an Evian water bottle, or simulate masturbation on a public stage to be a complete, in- charge woman. I do not need a Madonna to let me know I am worth something and that I can make it in life. I do not need a Madonna to let me know that I am perfectly fine on my own and that I do not need a man to complete me.
And these realizations make me a hundred times more strong than all the 'Girl Power' Maddy fans and liberal, feminist college professors (who literally teach "Madonna 101") out there. You people confess that you need Madonna for all that, and that Madonna is a god-send since she has allegedly broken the shackles off oppressed women everywhere. Madonna did not free any woman anywhere. I cannot believe a society where some will credit an entertainer for something like that. Madonna isn't even among the first female entertainer to carry such messages in her work anyway. -- Nancy Sinatra sang 'These boots are made for walking' back in the '60s, while Gloria Gaynor was singing "I Will Survive" back in the 1970s, before Madonna ever thought of "Express Yourself." I have more admiration for women serving in the American military today who still sometimes face sexism from male colleagues, and yet, they hang in there and do not give up. I have more admiration for single working mothers. Real women who have to face real problems day in and day out, having to get by without millions of dollars in their bank accounts and five bodyguards, a nanny, a trainer, and a chef. At this stage, some Madonna fans may object and say, "But what about Madonna's apparent and recent change of heart? With the release of her American Life album this year, she is now encouraging fans to do something worthy with their lives. She is speaking out against materialism and says she regrets her 'X rated' sleazy past behavior." The only reason Madonna is now publicy stating that her previous sleazy behavior was 'wrong' is because, as I state on another page at this site,
Do not misunderstand or be misled. Madonna is not apologizing for exposing adults or impressionable kids to perverted sexual imagery through her works. Madonna does not see anything immoral about promotoing homosexuality, having multiple lovers, having sex outside of marriage, appearing in pornography and the like. As a matter of fact, during the early 1990s, Madonna released a song (called "Human Nature") about the sexual controversy she had created with her Sex book in which she explained that because sex is a part of human nature that she has absolutely no apologies to make for any of her sexual shenanigans. Madonna is not sorry for being an immoral little slut. She is sorry only because being one harmed her career. I also have to wonder if Madonna, now age 44 and looking like 84, realizes that she is getting too old to maintain a sex bomb image (see photo below, left).
Madonna must further realize that she is running out of material by which to shock the public. There is now a Russian female pop duo, called "Tatu," who claim to be lesbians. The two girls of Tatu began their musical careers around the age of 17, appearing in music videos dressed in school girl outfits and kissing one another, and when performing in concert or on t.v. guest appearnces, they kiss one another in front of audiences. Madonna probably realizes that she cannot possibly top that sort of sexual deviancy. She probably regrets that she did not think of that idea first, as in "Why didn't I create an underage, lesbian duo under my Maverick label? Damn the luck!" I would like to digress for one moment to point out that while Madonna's sexual perversion was probably at its lowest and most evident with her Sex book and Erotica album, I do not mean to imply that was the extent of it.
Publicly, Madonna was slutty and sleazy beginng in 1984 and 1985 when she was writhing about in videos such as Like a Virgin, and it was also about that time that nude photos she had posed for in 1979 resurfaced in Playboy and Penthouse magazines. Madonna dabbled with pedophilia in her 1986/'87 music video Open Your Heart where she kissed, full on the mouth, a little boy who appeared to be about ten years old; later, in her Cherish video, she again takes a dip into pedophilia, with featuring a topless boy who is supposed to be half mer-man. During the late 1970s, Madonna appeared in a pornography film called A Certain Sacrifice because she wanted the work experience. My point being in mentioning all this is that Madonna was already quite trashy and vulgar long before her 1992 Sex book. At any rate, feminists who tout Madonna's pornography as being an alleged sign of female power are very much mistaken. Porn degrades everyone, whether it is made by males or females. Pornography does not become morally acceptable because the gender of its creator is female. I have to wonder if feminists would draw this example out (that is, of female controlled porn allegedly being an indication of female power), for example, to argue that drug cartels run by females is a sign of female power? How about female- controlled and organized bank robberry rings? female administered genocide and wars? How about a group of females who seek power by killing other females-- is all this a good example of Girl Power? Do we really want little girls growing up thinking that the only way to get ahead is to sexually degrade themselves or to take advantage of people? Rather than encouraging females to behave in this manner, shouldn't we all be discouraging this behavior in males? Should morally degenerate males really serve as examples to females? Maybe feminist thinking about female- created porn is 'if you can't beat the men, join them?' If so, that is caving in and giving up. It is most certainly not a sign of women grabbing power for themselves, it is defeatism. These same feminists who push Madonna as a heroine and who push the so-called benefits of female- created pornography insult the intelligence of women such as myself. These feminists who hail Madonna as a leader for women have been fooled by her. Madonna does not give one whit or one iota about female rights or making the world a better place for women. Madonna cares only about selling albums, making a buck, and holding on to her fame: she is a slut, not a champion for women.

Please note: there are photos on this page of an "adult" nature, though I have "censored" some of them, to an extent.
I do not like exposing people to trashy material, but in my view, it is somewhat necessary to do so, to offer examples and evidence of how degenerate Madonna is (there is aboslutely no defense for the things she has said or done).
I provide some of the trashy content particularly for any Madonna fans who may be in denial of just how sick Madonna is. If you are an individual who can remain a Madonna fan after viewing these images and reading these pages, you are just as sick as Madonna.
